Certification Programs

The Rawlins Fire Department participates in the State of Wyoming certifications programs that are administered by the Wyoming State Fire Marshal's Office and the Wyoming State Forestry Division.

Our department's training facilities include:

  • Burn building
  • Classroom
  • Confined space vault
  • Drill tower
  • Extrication pad
  • Natural gas props
  • Smoke house

The Rawlins Fire Department participates in training and certification on local, state, and national levels. Certifications can be received through various fire schools around the state, the Wyoming Fire Academy, and the National Fire Academy.

The department trains on the second and forth Wednesday of each month. This training is provided mainly by the paid staff who train each day on shift. All training sponsored by the Rawlins Fire Department is made available to other fire departments within our community and throughout the state.
