Fire Department
Department Responsibilities
The Rawlins Fire Department is a combination department with both paid, full-time staff members and volunteer members. We offer a full complement of services to the community of the City of Rawlins and the surrounding area.
Mission
The Rawlins Fire Department is committed to protecting the lives, property, and environment within our community. When summoned for service, all available resources will be used to ensure a professional, rapid, and safe response to the citizens we serve.
Staff
The Rawlins Fire Department employs a full-time Fire Chief, Battalion Chief, three Shift Captains, and six Engineers. Our response is supplemented by volunteer firefighters. The Fire Department focuses on Community Risk Reduction, Public Education, Fire Safety Inspections, and Fire and Medical Response. Staff Directory Community Involvement The Rawlins Fire Department is actively involved in community programs including, Fire Prevention Week, Public Education, Fire Safety Inspections, Chimney Sweep Program, and Car Seat Installation. In April of 2019, the Rawlins Fire Department will be partnering with the American Red Cross to install smoke detectors in residences throughout the community.
