New Website Launched 

Ayres & Associates has created a detailed website with information on this Brownfields Grant, including resources for property owners, focus areas mapped, and details about the Community Engagement Events on July 17th and 18th.

Thursday, July 17th 2025

  • Music at the Park - 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM - We will have a tent booth at the event with handouts, giveaways, and other information about the project.

Friday, July 18th, 2025

  • Starbucks Pop-up - 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM - We will be available at the store to talk about the project and share information!
  • Downtown Depot - 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM - We will have an informal open house for business owners and other interested parties to stop by and learn more about project resources, assistance, ways to submit potential sites, and more!
  • Senior Center - 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM - A pop-up stop will be available at the Rawlins Senior Center, specifically geared towards residents at the center but open to interested individuals. 
  • Downtown Depot Pt.2 - 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM - A second informal open house will occur at the Depot geared towards informing business owners in the community. 

Overview

In May 2023, the City of Rawlins was selected to receive a U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant to evaluate environmental conditions on properties. The purpose of these assessments is to allow the properties to regain their full potential. On December 17, 2024 City Council awarded the management of this grant to Ayres and Associates, Cheyenne, WY
