May 31, 2025, is Arbor Day here in Rawlins, WY! Proclaimed by the Mayor on May 20th, Arbor Day honors the importance of trees for temperature moderation, air cleanliness, beauty, and more. The City is also celebrating our 30th year as a Tree City USA. Join us for our annual Arbor Day Celebration on the 31st from 8 am to 1pm at the Rawlins Family Recreation Center – 1616 Harshman.
- 8am: Fruit Loop 5k/1k Registration, run by donation to support Rawlins Running Programs (preregister at https://forms.gle/2fikuR94MP3PErhh9)
- 9am: 5k and 1k Start - Same start location, fun for the whole family!
- 10am to 1pm: Trees Giveaway and Sales, Bounce House, and Food Trucks
- 11 am AND 12 pm: Flower Planting Demonstration
- 11:30 am AND 12:30pm: Pruning Demonstration by Wyoming State Forestry
