Getting chickens in Rawlins? Don't forget to get your permit!
Chickens, ducks, and any other livestock* must have a permit from the City of Rawlins per Rawlins Municipal Code 6.05.020. Permits are also required for bees, as well as wild and exotic animals.
- Pick up an application at the Animal Shelter or www.rawlinswy.gov/livestock
- Turn in the application to the Animal Shelter or by email to animalcontrol@rawlinswy.gov
- Animal control will visit at the scheduled time to approve the site as safe and weather ready
- Take approved application to City Hall to pay the $25 fee and receive your permit
There can be fines for failure to obtain a permit, animals at large, and cruelty to animals.
