Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council’s Work Session and Regular Meeting on Tuesday, March 4th at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. are available on BoardDocs at https://go.boarddocs.com/wy/rawlins/Board.nsf/goto?open&id=DCYPKW64E6A4  The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are broadcast live and recorded on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. The work session and meeting are held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street.

Council items include:

  • Work Session on City of Rawlins Salary Studies
  • Public Hearing and Approval of a Special Use Permit for a 100’ Telecommunications Tower and Accompanying Equipment Located South of the Rawlins Sports Complex east of Harshman St. 
  • Public Hearing and Second Reading to Repeal Code 2.56 Urban Systems Bylaws, to Allow New Bylaws Which Follow Best Practices 
  • Public Hearing and Approval of a new Bingo/Gaming License for Boys & Girls Club 
  • Approve Assignment of MSW Transportation Agreement to Blackburn Cattle Co. 
  • Accept CCSD #1 Recreation Board Grant of $80,000 for Baseball Field Maintenance  
  • Reports from Rawlins DDA/Main Street, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Council 
  • Approve Agenda, Minutes, Accounts Payable and Payroll
  • Executive Session per WY Statute 16-4-405(a)(iii, ix). This may include action after the executive session.

There will also be a special joint work session with the Town of Sinclair on Wednesday, March 5th at the Old Elementary School, 300 N 10th Street, Sinclair at 4:00pm.

Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with the council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted during council discussion. To address the Council, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor.

Comments made on social media before or during meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are sometimes held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
