Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council’s Work Session and Regular Meeting on Tuesday, February 4th at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. are available on BoardDocs at https://go.boarddocs.com/wy/rawlins/Board.nsf/goto?open&id=DCYPLU64CB87 The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are broadcast live and recorded on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings and the reception are held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street.

Council items include:

  • Work Session on Communication Flows with City Staff, if time permits Purchasing Policy  
  • Authorize Emergency Purchase of Two (2) Replacement River Pumps 
  • Approve Amendments of the City of Rawlins Purchasing Policy 
  • Adopt Water Master Plan Level 1 funded by Wyoming Water Development Commission 
  • Approve Contract with Ayers and Associates for Brownfield Community-Wide Assessment Grant 
  • Appoint Three Council Members to Serve on the Committee to Adopt Fire Civil Service Rules  
  • Reports from DDA/Main Street, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Council 
  • Approve Agenda, Minutes, Accounts Payable and Payroll
  • Appointment to the Board of Adjustments
  • Presentation of the Employee of the 4th Quarter for 2024  
  • Executive Session per WY Statute 16-4-405(a)(ix). This may include action after the executive session.

Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with the council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted during council discussion. To address the Council, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor.

Comments made on social media before or during meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are sometimes held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
