Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council’s Work Session and Regular Meeting on Tuesday, December 16th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. are available on BoardDocs at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs. The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are broadcast live and recorded on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings are held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street.

Council items include:

  • Work Session and Approve Amendment to the WYDOT Agreement for the Pedestrian Underpass near Higley and Aberdeen
  • Public Hearing and Approve BPO Elks #609 for 2025 Bingo/Pull Tabs/Gaming License
  • Approve Agreement for Dangerous Building Funds to Purchase the Lawrence Property for $230,000
  • Approve 2025 Municipal Solid Waste Hauler Licenses
  • Approve Contract with Ayers and Associates for Professional Environmental Services for the Brownfield Community-Wide Assessment Grant
  • Approve Compliance Pay for City of Rawlins Employees
  • Approve Designation of 2024 Funds from Wyoming Community Gas
  • Approve Bank of Commerce and RNB State Bank as Public Fund Depositories for 2025
  • Presentation for the December 2024 Community Builder Award
  • Presentation to City Staff for Employee of the Year, Supervisor of the Year, Max Dutton Award, and Employee Longevity   
  • Reports from Carbon County Economic Development Corporation, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Council
  • Approve Agenda, Minutes, Accounts Payable, and Payroll

Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with the council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted after council discussion. To address the Council during Citizen’s Participation or at other times during the meeting, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor. Comments made on social media before or during meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are sometimes held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
