Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packet for Rawlins’ City Council’s Regular Meeting on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 7:30 p.m. are available on BoardDocs at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs. The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are broadcast live and recorded on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings are held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street. There is no work session. 

Council items include: 

  • Approve – Join Wyoming CLASS (Cooperative Liquid Assets Securities System) to pool funds for investment 
  • Approve – Resolution to Establish a new Urban Deer Advisory Group through July 2025 
  • Reports from Discover Carbon County, City Manager, City Attorney, and City Council
  • Presentation of the Community Builder Award for September 2024 
  • Proclamation of Continental Divide Trail Community 
  • Approve Agenda, Minutes, Accounts Payable, and Payroll 
  • Executive Session - per WY Statute 16-4-405(a)(iii, ix). This may include action after the executive session.
  • No Work Session

Regular City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with the council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted after council discussion. To address the Council during Citizen’s Participation or at other times during the meeting, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor. Comments made on social media before or during meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.

Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are sometimes held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
