Council Upcoming Meetings Notice

The agenda and council packets for Rawlins’ City Council’s Work Session and Regular Meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023 at 6:00 and 7:30 pm am are available on BoardDocs at www.rawlinswy.gov/boarddocs.  The public is encouraged to attend or watch the meetings remotely. Council work sessions and meetings are aired live on Channel 191 (Spectrum) and on YouTube at www.rawlinswy.gov/youtube. Council meetings are held in Council Chamber, City Hall, 521 W. Cedar Street.
Council items include: 
·         Work Session: WWC Engineering Presentation on Water Infrastructure Rehabilitation and Funding
·         Third and Final Reading of Ordinance to amend Title 10.15.070 to adopt the language in Wyoming State Statute 31-4-103 regarding failure to maintain liability coverage
·         Approve – Contact for City IT Services with Computer Professionals Unlimited:307 Tech Pros of Casper, Wyoming
·         Approve – Parks & Recreation Advisory Committee Bylaw Amendments to add two Alternate Youth Positions
·         Approve – City Council Resolutions to present at WAM Summer Convention to advocate for legislation to recover costs of the abatement of dangerous buildings
·         Proclamation of National Police Week
·         Presentation of the 2023 Employee of the 1st Quarter, Rawlins Fire Department Annual Awards and May Community Builder Award
·         Appointment to the Rawlins-Carbon County Airport Board
·         Reports from Interim Manager, Staff, and Council
·         Approve Minutes, Accounts Payable, and Payroll
·         Executive Session per WY Statute 16-4-405 (ii & ix)

City Council meetings include opportunities for citizens to communicate with council. Citizen’s Participation is reserved for items not on the agenda. During agenda items, public comments may be accepted after council discussion. To address the Council during Citizen’s Participation or at other times during the meeting, please raise your hand and come to the podium once recognized by the mayor. Comments made on social media before or during the meetings are not an official way of communicating with the governing body. We do not consistently monitor comments on the live stream of the meeting, except to check on the sound levels or for other technical issues.
Rawlins City Council meetings are held every first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:30p. Work sessions are often held beforehand, typically at 6:00 pm.
