The City of Rawlins and Rawlins DDA/Main Street are excited and looking forward to the completion of the Depot Park Splash Pad and Restroom, now scheduled for August 2021. The Dedication was previously planned for July 9th during SummerFest 2021. It has been postponed due to a delay in the delivery of the restroom due to the shortage of supplies on a nationwide level.
The restroom is a vital piece of the Splash Pad, as it houses the mechanical components necessary for the Splash Pad’s operation. The restroom must also be installed prior to the completion of construction, including finishing the concrete pad and installation of the final sections of fence and sod. City Staff and Rawlins DDA/Main Street decided that a temporary solution to allow an on-time opening date would be ineffective and waste resources.
Our community has raised over $120,000 since 2015 to create this amazing asset for the heart of Rawlins. Rawlins DDA/Main Street and the City of Rawlins appreciate all the community efforts that have brought this project to life.
