[ARCHIVED] National Public Works Week - Landfill and Recyling

Landfill sign with logo

Today we focus on our Land our Landfill and Recycling division. We work hard to recycle as much as we can and properly take care of the trash from the community. Our landfill currently has 5 full time employees and our recycling center 2 full time employees. We process about 10,000 tons of waste a year at the landfill and about 200 tons at the recycling center. We have come a long way in the last several years. We have an award winning recycling program and our landfill has successfully completed Phase I and II closures. While celebrating our past successes we are looking forward to the future. Thank you to our employees at the Landfill and Recycling Center. #NPWW #StrongerTogether

The employees made a parady video - check it out at https://www.facebook.com/cityofrawlinspwcd/posts/954358628681657
