Counterfeit $50 bills circulating in Rawlins
These look like the newer bills with the Flag on the front.
March 6th Bank of Commerce contacted the Sheriff's office regarding a number of counterfeit bills that were brought into the bank by various businesses.
Serial numbers being counterfeited are:
JJ19638492A
IJ02317756A - 3 bills had this same serial number
E102184943A
GJ02464293A
They do show up as counterfeit if marked with a pen.
Please issue a warning of caution to anyone taking $50 bills. Contact the local Sheriff or Police Department.
