Congratulations to Roger and Nicki Epp on receiving the January 2026 Community Builder Award for their decades of service and heartfelt commitment to Rawlins! While Roger likes to joke that he wasn’t technically born here, Rawlins has truly been home to Roger for all but three weeks of his life and to Nicki since 1970 — and together, they have given back in countless ways. After meeting while both stationed in Fort McClellan, Alabama, they came to Rawlins, starting their family and their lifetime of community involvement. Whether giving back through youth sports, their church, the Lions Club, or projects near to their hearts, the Epps have consistently stepped up wherever help was needed. Their efforts have demonstrated time and again their shared commitment to making Rawlins a better place. Together, the Epps are also well known as our community’s special holiday helpers, bringing joy to families at parades and community events throughout Rawlins. Let’s all be inspired by their generosity, dedication, and joyful spirit to step up, like the Epps, to make Rawlins a warmer and stronger place to call home.
