2025 Annual Staff Awards

Join us in congratulating the City of Rawlins’ 2025 Employee Award Winners!

Each year, the City recognizes employees who go above and beyond for their coworkers and the Rawlins community with three annual awards. The City of Rawlins is proud to recognize three employees whose dedication, leadership, and service reflect the very best of public service.    


Max Dutton Award – Assistant Finance Director Beverly Hannum

Beverly Hannum received the Max Dutton Award for her commitment to honest, efficient, and responsive government. She has repeatedly stepped in during times of transition to keep the City’s financial and other operations running smoothly. Bev is known for her strong work ethic, willingness to help wherever needed, and deep knowledge of City operations. Her dedication and reliability make a lasting difference for the City of Rawlins and its residents.

Supervisor of the Year – Patrol Sergeant Christopher Craig 

Sergeant Craig was selected as the Supervisor of the Year for his steady leadership, professionalism, and strong support of his team. With more than ten years in a supervisory role, he leads by example and is known for being fair, dependable, and easy to communicate with. In addition to his day-to-day responsibilities, Sergeant Craig coordinates the Carbon County K-9 Program. His calm and respectful approach has earned the trust of both coworkers and the public.

2025 Employee of the Year – Water/Wastewater Treatment Operator II Joe Langenderfer 

Joe Langenderfer is the 2025 Employee of the Year for his 35 years of service and dedication to the City. Since starting as a seasonal employee in 1990, Joe has worked in multiple departments and has an in-depth understanding of City systems. Joe is a go-to resource for coworkers and a patient mentor to new employees. His commitment extends beyond the workplace through volunteering, community events, and even spending personal time helping keep Rawlins clean and cared for.
