It’s Fire Prevention Week in Rawlins!
The City of Rawlins has proclaimed October 5–11, 2025, as Fire Prevention Week — and this year’s theme is “Charge into Fire Safety: Lithium-Ion Batteries in Your Home.” From phones to e-bikes, these batteries power our lives — but using them safely is key!
- Charge on hard surfaces
- Keep away from heat and water
- Buy batteries and chargers from reliable sources
- Stop using your device if it overheats, smells, pops, or changes in shape. If safe, move it away from flammable materials. Call 9-1-1.
