The Rawlins Police Department is excited to partner in this fact-finding working group with the Carbon County Sherrif and the Saratoga Police Chief. As law enforcement leaders, it is our duty to gather information to educate ourselves, our departments, our communities, and our elected leaders regarding all options for public safety communications and their potential application to Carbon County. The mission of this committee is to gather facts that will be used as the basis for further conversations regarding dispatch operations in Carbon County.

Subject: Joint/Combined Dispatch Operations: Collaborative Working Group Formation
We are extremely excited to announce that a Joint/Combined Dispatch Operation Collaborative Working Group has been formed between the respective department heads of the Carbon County Sheriff's Office, the Saratoga Police Department, and the Rawlins Police Department.
After a meeting held yesterday between the respective department heads, it was unanimously decided to form a collaborative working group to analyze current challenges facing our public safety communications and to cooperatively explore all viable solutions.
As public safety administrators, our primary responsibility should always be to do what is best for the people of Carbon County. We are committed to providing the best public safety communication services possible for our county, and we feel that this is a monumental first step in ensuring that mission is completed.
Thank you to the Rawlins Police Department, the Saratoga Police Department, and all of our citizens and governing entities for their input, support, and future collaboration.
-Sheriff Alex Bakken
