Hi Dog Owners! We know your furry friends are your pride and joy, and we love seeing them around town. But let’s chat about something that’s just as important as their walk - picking up after them!
We’ve had a few mishaps with dog waste being left behind on the fields where kids are playing. Soccer and football games are in full swing at the Sports Complex, Old Outlaw Bowl, Bolton Park, and Rob Roy Park. No one wants to see their child step or fall into a mess—yuck!
Let’s keep our public spaces clean and enjoyable for everyone. Trash cans are available in all City parks and along the walking path, and many parks also provide doggy waste bags. Feel free to use those or bring your own from home.
Looking for a place to let your dog run leash-free? We have a fantastic dog park right here in Rawlins. However, don’t forget that you are still responsible for picking up their dog waste. Our dog park features an “Any Dog Area” of about 1.5 acres featuring natural landscapes and various elevations, a “Small (under 30 pounds) and Elderly Dog Area” of about ½ acre, a human/dog drinking fountain, and multiple doggy waste stations.
