This week you will find the crews watering down the greens on the course. 

Watering in the winter? WHAT?! Why is this so important? 

Snow coverage in winter months is good for our greens because it keeps the moisture in. 

During dry fall conditions, and harsh winter months, our focus turns to watering greens in areas that are prone to higher winds, prohibiting snow from covering the greens and holding in what moisture they do have. Without that additional moisture and barrier, the greens will struggle, so adding the water ensures the greens stay in their current conditions. 

Our crews are dedicated all winter long to plowing cart paths and access to greens as well as taking care of equipment maintenance for the course.
