It is the duty of the Parks Division to irrigate, mow, spray for weeds, sweep, and maintain 75 acres of the city’s parks, cemetery, and green areas and the facilities within them. It is also the duty of the Grounds Division to plant and maintain the trees located on the city’s properties.

Mission

It is the mission of the City of Rawlins’ Parks Division to maintain the city’s trees, parks, cemetery, green areas, and their facilities to the highest standards possible.

Deer Proofing and Proven planting 

Tree City USA  Rawlins is celebrating 28 years of this award. Tree planting, maintenance and education continues with the annual Arbor Celebration in the early summer.

Weed Spraying in Parks, Cemetery and green spaces will begin May 25th and continue randomly during the warm months.  Please take proper precautions if you are sensitive to chemicals.  Contact Nate Williams, Interim Superintendent.
