Volunteer with the Fire Department!

Becoming a volunteer firefighter is arguably one of the most rewarding and fulfilling positions you can fill in your community.  The primary objective of fire departments is to help prevent the fire from taking lives and destroying property, in addition to providing critical medical care. If you are interested in becoming part of our firefighting family, come take a tour of Fire Station 1 at 320 W Walnut, call us at (307) 328-4596, or fill out this form.

Coach Youth Sports!

We offer youth sports throughout the year for boys and girls, including basketball, football, and soccer. Our Rec Sports Leagues depend on generous volunteers who dedicate their time for practice and games on weekday evenings. If you are interested, stop by the Rawlins Family Recreation Center at 1616 Harshman or call us at 307-324-7529. 

Volunteer to be a Victim Advocate!

The Victim Assistance Program provides victims with support, assistance, and crisis intervention at a time when it is most needed. On a scene, the patrol officers act with compassion and sympathy, but their primary responsibility is related to law enforcement, such as crime scene investigation and filling out police reports. The victim specialists solely focus their attention on the victims. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the program contact Rawlins Police Department at (307) 328-4530. Volunteer for Downtown!

In addition to the board, Rawlins Downtown Development Authority has two committees. The Thrive committee assists with planning events and the Public Space Committee focuses on making things bright and beautiful in downtown. Call 307-328-4599 or visit www.downtownrawlins.org for more information. 

Adopt-A-Street

The City of Rawlins has created an Adopt-A-Street program in Rawlins. As citizens, we have all noticed the need for trash removal on our streets and byways at some time. If you would like to see our community cleaner, this is a great opportunity to help out on your own time. You don't have to come on a specific day, just help out on a schedule that works for you.
